Went shopping for some travel stuff yesterday and has started an OZ-pile at home :-)

Handlade lite nödvändigheter för resan igår och har nu startat en OZ-hög hemma i vardagsrummet med "bra pack-saker".....

Ballot (Lotteri) for New Years Eve tickets!

Has enrolled to a ballot for tickets for a great spot viewing the fire works and celebration of New Years eve in Sydney. The place is obviously so popular that they have a ballot instead of just straight selling on a first-com-first-serve basis. Hope we get tickets!! Only 5AUD each (most other places cost >200AUD or are free and crowded)

Lotteri för Nyårsafton biljetter! Lyckades komma in på sidan i sista minuten för att lista oss för 150SEK för oss alla 4. Hoppas vi får biljetter. De flesta andra ställen kostar endera >1500SEK per pers!! eller är gratis och överfulla....

Resfeber - travel fever light

Lite resfeber börjar allt infinna sig... Har vi verkligen koll på alla bokningar? Hur kommer vädret vara i Norra Queensland? Hur ska vi hantera tidsskillnaden? Oj så spännande allt blir :-)

Some travel fever is beginning to appear... Have we really organised all bookings? How will the weather be in Northern Queensland (hope for no flooding...) How will we manage the time differences? Wow how exciting everything is!!

Nu är alla hotell och resor bokade för oss alla! Utom det som vi vill hålla flexibelt. Nu återstår packningsplanering och läsa om resmålen - KUL!

1. Mrs Macquarie's Point - this is my favourite spot... it fills up and closes by 5pm most years so get here really early - and it's no longer BYO so bring $$$ if you want to drink - capacity 17,000
2. Sydney Opera House - Sydney Mad House on NYE - Great view, but this is THE most crowded place you can imagine, if you don't mind crowded the buzz here is amazing.
3. Macquarie Street Lawns - above the Opera House - no BYO and slightly more civilised than the other parts of Circular Quay most years. Capacity 6.000.
4. Barangaroo - South side of Sydney Harbour bridge - 5AUD entrance - opens at 6pm Book via www.ticketek.com

* Dudley Page Reserve: Pack a picnic and watch the Sydney fireworks at Dudley Page Reserve in Dover Heights. 6-12.30am. Last year’s tickets Adults €8.74, But where to book???

* Nielsen Park, Steele Point Rd, Vaucluse. From 5pm. Last year’s tickets €7.28. But where to book???

* Strickland House Lawns, Vaucluse: 6pm-12.30am. Last year’s ticketsAdults €13.10 But where to book???
